WHEREAS each department within the Municipality of Marmora and Lake has its respective utilities and phone expenses reflected in its annual budget; WHEREAS the Library is not a municipal department but does operate out of a building that is owned by the Municipality; AND WHEREAS the Library's budget and financial reports do not reflect the full cost associated with its programs as the related utility and phone expenses are being allocated to the Memorial Building, under the Facilities Department's budget, rather than being reflected in the Library’s budget; THAT Council direct staff to reallocate the monthly utility and phone expenses for the Memorial Building to the Library’s budget, effective January 1, 2026; AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to establish a reimbursement process with Library staff for these expenses.
