Council Meeting

THAT the Agenda for the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake for Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, be approved as presented.

THAT Council approve the 2024 municipal audit and financial statements as presented by Baker Tilly on October 21st, 2025; AND FURTHER THAT Council authorize Mayor O'Neill and Deputy Mayor Stevens to sign the Acknowledgement of Council page in the provided audit letter.

THAT the foregoing minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake held Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, be approved as presented.

THAT the staff reports for the third quarter of 2025 be received for information.

THAT Council accept this “2023 Road Needs Study (RNS)” report, dated October 21st, 2025; AND FURTHER THAT Council receive the 2023 Road Needs Study for information.

THAT Council accept this “Shanick Bridge Structural Assessment” report, dated October 21st, 2025; AND FURTHER THAT the amended Bridge Load Limit Bylaw 2025-58, which updates Shanick Bridge’s vehicle load limit from 16 tonnes to a triple weight posting for three different vehicle types (single-unit vehicles at 13 tonnes, two- unit vehicles at 24 tonnes, and trains at 32 tonnes), be recommended for Council approval.

Page 3 of 7 Council Meeting October 21, 2025 THAT Council direct staff to send letters to all residents on the west side of Shanick Bridge, outlining the changes in winter and road maintenance that will take place due to the new load limit restrictions now in effect for the bridge.

THAT the foregoing minutes and reports of the Committees and Boards listed are hereby received for information.

THAT Council receive the report for information.

THAT Council hereby declare that March 1st-8th, 2026, is International Women's Week in Marmora and Lake.

THAT Bylaw 2025-58, being a bylaw for the restriction of the weight of vehicles passing over bridges in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake, be read and passed this 21st day of October, 2025.

THAT the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake grant permission to the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 237 Marmora to install a Fallen Soldier crosswalk in the downtown core on the existing unmarked crosswalk, on Forsyth Street, as per their request brought to Council on September 2nd, 2025; AND THAT the date for road closures, materials used, any additional required signage and final image be reviewed and approved prior to installation by the Manager of Transportation Services.

THAT Bylaw 2025-59, being a bylaw to confirm the proceedings of the Regular Meeting of Council held on the 21st day of October, 2025, be read and passed this 21st day of October, 2025.
