THAT the Agenda for the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake for Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, be approved as presented.

THAT Council direct staff to charge Kawartha Whitewater Paddlers a flat rate of $400 for their fairground rental for MACKfest 2025.

THAT the foregoing minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake held Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, be approved as presented.

THAT the staff reports for the fourth quarter of 2024 be received for information.

THAT Council receive this “Proposed Beach House Rental: The Wildlife Rentals” report dated January 21st, 2025; AND FURTHER THAT Council approve the rental of the Legion Park Beach House canteen, for a seasonal contract, to The Wildlife Rentals for the year 2025.

THAT Council receive this “Request for Reduction of Taxes, Chapter 25, Section 357 of the Municipal Act, 2001, for 362 High Shore Road” report dated January 21st, 2025; Page 3 of 9 Council Meeting January 21, 2025 AND FURTHER THAT Council approve the request of Bruce Orpwood for a reduction of taxes for the year 2024 in the amount of $721.87, for 362 High Shore Road, as per Section 357 of the Municipal Act.

THAT the foregoing minutes and reports of the Committees and Boards listed are hereby received for information.

THAT Council receive the report for information.

THAT Council receive the decision from the Court of Appeals for Ontario, dated January 8th, 2025, for information.

THAT Council receive Debbie Burtch's letter for information; THAT Council grant permission to Shannon Andrews and Darrell Zajac to continue to re-establish the Marmora Farmers Market in Debbie's stead, located at the municipal parking lot on the corners of Highway 7 and Bursthall Street, commencing in 2025, on Saturdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., for the months of May to October; AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to provide a report outlining insurance requirements for vendors and a site plan.

THAT Council accept the letter for information.

THAT Council grant the request of Ron Fudge to use Booster Park for a polar plunge fundraiser on Saturday, February 16th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.

THAT Council approve the request of the Shawano Ratepayers for use of the Marmora and Lake sand dome property on North Steenburg Lake Road on August 16th, 2025, for their annual community music event.

Being a bylaw authorizing the temporary borrowing of funds.

Being a bylaw to appoint or confirm members to various boards and committees for the purposes of the Corporation of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake for the year 2025.

Being a bylaw to appoint a Municipal Treasurer for the Corporation of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.

Being a bylaw to appoint a Bylaw Enforcement Officer for the Corporation of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.

Being a bylaw to appoint a Fire Chief for the Corporation of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.

Being a bylaw to appoint a Municipal auditor for the Corporation of the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.
